Iran completely supports oppressed nations: DM

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): Iranian Minister of Defense said on Saturday that Iran completely supports the oppressed nations.

“We provide advisory aids against the terrorists, but it’s the resistant morale of the nations that makes them victorious that do not acquiesce to tyranny,” said Brigadier General Amir Hatami in a local ceremony with the attendance of the Basij (voluntary forces) commanders.

“Iran’s defensive power is tens of times more than what is announced in media. From the day that our defensive industry was banned, we relied on domestic potentials and imporoved it,” he added.

He pointed to the new round of US sanctions, and said, 'The sanctions will turn into an opportunity to eliminate the economical weak points of the country.”

He stressed the prominent role of Basij thoughts and forces in building Kowsar fighter jet, increasing the range and the altitude of missiles and other aerial weapons as well as improving the precision of radars.

General Hatami said that the wicked Americans that previously backed Saddam Hussein [during the Iran-Iraq war between 1980-1988] are the ones that falsely say that they support Iranians, but incur enmity against each and every of Iranians.

He added that Basij has turned into an example for the youth of the region and the world, saying, “The Zionist army tasted loss and left Lebanon after the formation of Hezbullah’s youth voluntary forces.'

Speaking on Yemen, he stressed that Basij thoughts have been institutionalized in Lebanon, Palestine, Iraq, and Syria and have defeated the US in the region

He added that the Yemenis are a thorn in US’ side because they are withstanding against a great conspiracy. The child-killer regime of Saudi Arbia invaded Yemen with the green light of the US and bulk purchase of weapons.
